Great article. So would you say that desinging your offer and creating your landing page/funnel are two processes that run parallel to eachother?

Hey Jason. Many thanks for your question! I'm not 100% sure I understand it, but let me answer it this way:

In 99% of cases, your offer needs a landing page. The landing page is part of the sales funnel for your offer.

It's not necessary to have a website to run an offer. But you could have one.

Hope that makes sense!

Running a software company where we literally make money building websites, I still find myself asking clients the same question you raise here: Do you really need a website right now?

That question alone changes the conversation. Because a website, as you’ve said, isn’t grown by default, it’s just a tool. If the business model, demand, or distribution isn’t clear yet, a website often becomes an expensive distraction instead of an enabler.

What I appreciate about this piece is the clarity around timing. Too many founders build infrastructure for a business they hope to have, instead of validating the business they’re trying to build first. I wrote something similar a few weeks ago after seeing this pattern repeat itself again and again, and this reinforces that the real leadership move is knowing when to build and when to wait.

Yes, well said! I remember seeing an absolutely gorgeous health coach website. It was fully branded and covered with professional photos. But I had no idea what she actually did!
